Camp Perkins SnowSchool is an unforgettable winter outdoor education experience that combines real science with hands-on learning. Bundled up and fitted with snowshoes, the students venture out into the Sawtooth Mountains around Camp Perkins to discover the amazing winter environment.
Camp Perkins in winter is a completely unique experience. After riding into camp on our snow van, the students will learn about the snowpack, the water cycle, and animal adaptations for winter. They will have the chance to enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and tubing, as well as an opportunity to build an igloo and drink hot chocolate by the fire in our Retreat Center.
