Two Types of Art Camp for High School and Middle School Campers
1. Drawing and Painting: July 9-14, Grades 9-12 (High School Week)
2. Clayworks: July 16-21, Grades 6-8
Explore your creativity!
Art Camps are integrated with the traditional Youth Camp, but during the optional activity time, participants in Art Camps will spend time learning creative techniques under the supervision of an expert artist.
Come expecting a time of diligent work and controlled assignments that will unlock the artist within. Camp will provide some of the tools of the trade. God’s creation will provide the inspiration.
1. Drawing and Painting - High School Art Camp
Professional artist Robert Moore teaches design and color with pencil and acrylic paint. You will be inspired as he connects the creative process to the Creator God and His Creation in rich and powerful ways.
2. Clayworks - Middle School Art Camp
Clay artist Angela Neiwert will help campers explore limitless possibilities of clay. You will be digging clay, pulling out impurities, wedging, throwing on the wheel, hand building, and pit firing. Bring water shoes, swim suit, and your creative spirit to explore the relationship between clay and the Potter.
"Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand."
- Isaiah 64:8
