Leaders in Training Program
Are you looking for a chance to put your faith into action? Want to grow and be challenged physically and spiritually? Looking for the "next step" of your camp experience? Then the LIT program is for you!
LIT's spend one or more weeks volunteering at Camp Perkins in the summer. They are an integral part of the ministry Camp Perkins provides, helping with every aspect of the summer camp program. LIT's spend their week assisting a counselor in a cabin, as well as helping with the behind-the-scenes work of kitchen and housekeeping.
- Register and pay for the LIT Week of Camp
- Fill out the LIT application (see below). Be sure to complete all 3 components by April 4. Registrations after that point will still be considered pending availability.
- Attend the LIT training week!
First-time LITs REQUIRED to attend training week at the start of the summer where they are taught valuable skills and lessons in what it means to be a leader, to serve and to be a role model for a cabin full of kids. This week is a chance for LITs to grow together into a community, strengthen their faith, and be equipped with all the tools they will need to serve at camp.
To register for the training week, click the "REGISTER ONLINE" icon to the left.
ALL LIT's (first time and returning LITs) wishing to volunteer at Camp Perkins must complete an LIT application EACH YEAR. The LIT application consists of three parts (due April 4):
